About Peter
My name is Peter McCune and I’m a writer.
I’m from Bangor, in Northern Ireland, but I’ve spent my entire adult life living in Glasgow – then the North East of England – then Glasgow again.
I’ve been writing stories for about a decade, but I’ve only properly committed to it in the last few years. I write whatever I fancy, which is often science fiction, sometimes fantasy, and sometimes literary fiction.
Working full time and writing at weekends, I was able to save up enough money to pay for a Masters course in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow. I studied the MLitt course under the tutelage of some great writers: Elizabeth Reeder, Zoë Strachan, Carolyn Jess-Cooke, Jane Goldman, Colin Herd, and Louise Welsh.
If you’re a writer and you’d like to talk shop, please get in touch. If you’re a reader and you’re incredibly bored, then check out the short stories page. If you’d like to know where to find my work, check out my publications page.
